Ranch Technician (Whitman, NE)University of Nebraska-LincolnWest Central Research, Extension, and Education CenterLocated in the Nebraska Sandhills near Whitman, the Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory (GSL) covers parts of Grant, Hooker, and Cherry counties. This working ranch and research facility is dedicated to improving sustainable livestock and land management practices.As a Ranch Technician, you will:

• Provide day-to-day care of cattle.

• Be responsible for maintenance and repair of facilities, vehicles and equipment.

• Assist in data collection for a variety of studies.

Onsite housing is provided. Irregular work hours and strenuous physical labor is required. Must be able to work in inclement weather and temperatures from -30F to 100+F. Seeking 1 ranch hand

Looking to add one full time ranch hand to the team.

Must have some experience in all aspects of a cow calf operation, and be willing to learn and try the things you don’t know.

Horse outfit. We use horses for 99% of our cow work. Side by sides and 4wheelers available if horseback isn’t an option, but we personally prefer to use horses.

Outside of all aspects of raising cattle, we also hay, fence, feed, and maintain the property and equipment, and we’d like someone that’s willing to participate in helping with all of it. 

Single bedroom house provided, 45 mins to one town with amenities, about an hour to another. 

Looking for a hired hand during calving season and possibly more. We have black angus cows. The ranch is located 13 miles south of Stuart. If you know carpentry we could make it a full-time job. For more info call Brad Kaup 402-925-8374
