I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend with your family before these busy fall months begin. With school activities, sports, etc., some of our help leaves for a while, and we are running around Nebraska supporting them in everything they do.
I hope this fall brings some memories with not only your family and kids but also some nice cooler weather with some more rain showers. Some areas have been getting a few, but we still need 9-12 inches to catch up with the drought.
Along with the drought comes some nutrition deficiencies, so talk with your nutritionist about making sure your cows have the condition to bear this wet winter I have heard that we are having.
Fall Feeder Calf Preview is taking place in Merriman, NE, this year, and we are excited to see some great cattle again. Even in dry conditions, many calves are still performing very well, and we need to showcase that! The SCA was created to connect the Feeders of the east with the Sandhills ranchers, and that is what we are trying to do. This tour is free of cost and will be from 9 - 2 MT, so please grab your family and friends and join us.
Have a great month!
